About Fordway

Fordway has 25 years' experience helping leading organisations across all market sectors get the best from their IT infrastructure. Our solutions are robust, secure, future proof and cost-effective.

We begin by understanding your strategy and business objectives. Using best practice processes, technologies and security standards we will design a tailored solution for your company. We find the most cost effective combination of products and services, reusing existing products and licenses where appropriate. Our team will work with you to deliver the project on time and on budget. And we’ll work closely with your in-house team, transferring skills throughout the project.

We’re proud of our team. Fordway succeeds through the skills, integrity and hard work of our staff. Our Consultancy and Service Desk teams excel at what they do. We hire talented people who are willing to go the extra mile to deliver on our promises. The team has a breadth and depth of knowledge which is rare in an organisation of our size.

Fordway provide both cloud and managed services from two UK data centres across the public and private sectors. All our cloud services are available through the Government’s G-Cloud framework.

Senior Management Team

Richard Blanford

Richard Blanford, Managing Director

Richard founded Fordway in 1991 and over twenty-five years has built it into one of the UK’s most respected managed cloud and infrastructure transformation companies. Richard’s IT career began in the late 1980s at Ruby Computers, where he identified a need to provide hands-on skills and support. He set up Fordway to sell and install IT infrastructure and grew the company through winning and successfully delivering increasingly larger contracts. Five years ago he led a major investment in infrastructure, staff and training to enable Fordway to provide managed cloud services, which now provide approximately half the company’s total revenues. In his spare time Richard is an RFU level 2 coach and Surrey RFU referee, drums in a rock band and is a keen sailor.

Russell Fox

Russell Fox, Head of Operations

Russell joined Fordway as a project manager in February 2013 and was rapidly promoted to Programme Manager, managing Fordway’s project office and all its staff. He is now Head of Operations, with responsibility for the successful delivery of all customer projects, service operations and Fordway’s service desk as well as managing the company’s team of experienced technical consultants. Russell has almost 20 years of project delivery experience across the public and private sectors, working both in-house and for IT providers, and is PRINCE 2 qualified. In his spare time Russell volunteers with the Cub Scouts and enjoys cycling.

Amanda Mival

Amanda Mival, Head of Business Support

Amanda Mival joined Fordway’s management team in 2014 to bring additional commercial expertise to support company growth. Her role combines commercial and financial management for the business, and she is also responsible for HR, with a focus on developing Fordway’s employee engagement strategy. Amanda has more than 20 years’ experience managing business across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, consultancy and hospitality, and is AAT qualified. Outside the office she supports her local school and has previously been Vice-Chair of Governors. She is also an advocate for better understanding of Parkinson’s disease and Lewy Body Dementia.
