We’re delighted to announce that we’ve achieved accreditation to the PSN (Public Services Network). This enables us to offer our PaaS, IaaS and DaaS cloud services over the government’s high performance secure network to any public sector organisation that has the requirements, security classification and suitable policies in place to connect to the PSN.
The PSN was set up to help public sector organisations work together, reduce duplication and share resources while providing assurance of IT security. Achieving this accreditation recognises the high levels of security that Fordway’s managed cloud services provide.
You may have seen last month’s news reports that the PSN will not be with us forever. The Government Digital Service (GDS) stated in a blog that as more services are moved to public cloud then the internet will be considered sufficient for the majority of public sector work. However, I believe that it will be with us for some time yet. As the GDS points out, there is quite a lot of work to do across the public sector to prepare for these changes. In the meantime, we’ll continue to offer PSN services to any organisation that needs them.
